Exhausted firefighters battling deadly infernos for weeks are now grappling with more wildfires torching Southern California – including one that’s threatening 14,000 structures.
Firefighters gained more ground Thursday on a fast-moving brushfire that erupted north of Los Angeles the day before and within hours exploded to thousands of acres amid high winds, officials said.
As firefighters work to get the Hughes Fire under control, thousands were forced to evacuate as flames, smoke and debris came barreling toward their homes.
