Inter Milan moved three points clear at the top of Serie A after beating third-placed Atalanta. Napoli, who sit second, were held to a goalless draw by Venezia earlier in the day and Inter seized the opportunity to open up daylight in the race for the title.

Inter Milan extended their lead at the top of Serie A to three points with a 2-0 win at third-placed title rivals Atalanta on Sunday as both sides finished with 10 men.

Atalanta continue to have a dismal record against Inter, losing their last eight competitive meetings now, without a victory since a 4-1 result in Bergamo in November 2018.
