New York is sending inflation refund checks to eligible residents. Gov. Kathy Hochul says they're expected to hit the mail this fall.

Checks will be mailed beginning in October, but delivery dates may vary by household. There is no mailing order by ZIP code or region. For more information and to check eligibility details, residents can visit ny.gov/inflationrefund.

More than eight million New York households will be receiving an inflation refund check up to $400. There is no need to apply or sign up.
