Paul Bissonnette isn't backing down from Tuesday's report claiming that Rasmus Dahlin is considering his future with the Buffalo Sabres, despite the team and its captain strongly denying the rumor shortly after it went out.

Sabres captain Rasmus Dahlin and general manager Kevyn Adams had an hour-long meeting to discuss the state of the team ahead of the NHL trade deadline. On Tuesday morning, Paul Bissonnette said on the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast that Dahlin told Adams if things don’t change quickly he’s going to want out of Buffalo.

The Buffalo Sabres made a major move last fall, naming defenseman Rasmus Dahlin as the team captain for the 2024-25 season. Just a few months after that, both parties found themselves in the middle of strong speculation linking the player to a trade request submitted to the franchise.
