Kehoe's office announced that Christopher S. "Kit" Bond died on Tuesday at the age of 86. Bond served as Missouri's governor from 1973 to 1977 and from 1981 to 1985. He then went on to the U.S. Senate, where he was elected in 1986. He was reelected in 1992, 1998 and 2004. Roy Blunt followed his term.
