Longtime New Orleans Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk will retire from the NFL, he announced on Instagram. Ramczyk, who announced the decision Thursday night on the social media platform, spent his eight-year career with the NFC South franchise.

Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk has announced his retirement from pro football. The decision by the 2017 first-round draft choice and former All-Pro comes after he sat out all of last season because of a lingering knee injury.

Ramczyk missed the entire 2024 season after undergoing offseason knee surgery. He told reporters in December 2023 that the deterioration of cartilage in his knee had impacted the final three seasons of his NFL career.
