After securing the SEC Championship with the Florida Gators, head coach Todd Golden issued a stern warning to the other teams looking ahead.

Right before Selection Sunday, Todd Golden has come out with a bold statement that displays supreme confidence in his group.

The SEC Tournament championship matchup on Sunday afternoon between the Tennessee Vols and the Florida Gators was essentially a rubber game. Tennessee and Florida split their regular season series with the Gators winning by 30 in Gainesville and the Vols winning by 20 in Knoxville.

With a win the Gators would face the winner between No. 8 seed UConn, the two-time defending national champion, and No. 9 seed Oklahoma (20-13) — 85-63 losers Feb. 18 in Gainesville. UConn (23-10) defeated UF 75-54 in December 2022 during Golden’s first season and en route to the Huskies’ national title, one of six by the school since 1999.
