The United States Geological Survey recorded a 3.3 magnitude earthquake in central Illinois overnight Monday, May 12, with more than 120 people reporting they felt it as of Tuesday morning. The quake reportedly struck Coles and Cumberland County at 11:43 p.

At least one report of shaking was recorded in Will County, near Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, the USGS said.
