Emma Raducanu said she “did not feel anxious” on the court as she returned to action for the first time since dealing with a stalker at the Dubai Open last month. The 22-year-old was beaten in straight sets by Japan’s Moyuka Uchijima in the first round of Indian Wells amid extra security in California.

Emma Raducanu reeled off nine straight games in a facile 6-2, 6-1 victory over an unknown Japanese 19-year-old at the Miami Open on Wednesday, but the real story was her split with coach Vladimir Platenik.

The Miami Open draw is out and Emma Raducanu will start her third campaign at the tournament by taking on wildcard Sayaka Ishii. After pulling out of last year's Miami edition due to a back injury, the 2021 US Open champion is returning to the tournament this year.
