The San Jose Sharks made one of the most surprising moves of the 2025 Trade Deadline by sending forward Fabian Zetterlund to the Ottawa Senators in a last-minute deal.

As far as William Eklund is concerned, the San Jose Sharks traded away a literal family member in Fabian Zetterlund.

Jake Walman, sent to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday, roughly two weeks after his 29th birthday, gave the Sharks a veteran offensive defenseman who usually logged between 22 and 26 minutes per game. Zetterlund, 25, scored 24 goals last year and was nearly on the same pace this season.
