North Florida is facing a rare and highly dangerous tornado threat as a monster weekend storm system marches across the Midwest and South, leaving more than a dozen dead in its wake. A tornado watch is in effect until 10 a.

At 5 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service released an updated tornado watch in effect until 10 a.m. for Marion, Walker and Winston counties.

Significant weather will work its way through metro Atlanta and north Georgia Saturday night into Sunday morning. Western Georgia is expected to see the highest tornado threat and many areas are in a 4 out 5 risk.
